Consumer Reviews
"there are basicly two cars here- the rumbling v8 muscle car and the v6. the v6 now has dual exaust but I'm not going to try to make it sound like a v8. plenty of power in my smooth v6 cruiser, good handling, and comfortable. if they put the new 8 speed auto in it it will be an even more plesant driving experience. highway driving is not tiring and the car gets over 30 mpg. the car shows no inclination to roll or squeal the tires on the twisties at any speed I would drive it, but the feel of being in a big car and not a sports car is still there. I miss having 4 doors, but am trying to justify buying this thing based on the look and the large amout of stuff that will fit in the trunk if needed."

"Stop it with Camaro and Mustang. The Challenger is the one to buy. Smooth power, strong stance. Decent MPG"

"The 2012 Challenger is fast, quiet and comfortable. Yesterday on the way home I realized that I now enjoy driving again since I bought this car. Almost every day I get comments on how cool this car is. I couldn't be more happy with it. On my two hour drives to the beach I am getting over 25 MPG! Not bad for a car with 372 HP!!"

"You either really want a Challenger, in which case you will gush love over it like every other review, or you won't even consider a Challenger - there aren't going to be many 'random buyers' who just happened to pick one out. The Challenger makes you feel like a rock star everywhere you go - people stop and want to talk about it, even people who aren't into cars... it's an almost visceral reaction. Accordingly the flaws of the car become irrelevant quirks and not detractions. I regret not buying the Hemi, but the Pentastar V6 has plenty of oomph and it will cruise all day on the highway at a high rate of speed. It moves laterally like its on rails and cuts securely without any wobbles. Looking at it you would think its a low car but that's only because its so long - it's barely shorter than your average car and accordingly it's very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. It's got the amenities one needs, like heated seats, without the unnecessary bells and whistles you see jammed into more and more cars. I think the people who claim 25mpg are fudging because I don't do that well, even on the highway. The C-pillar is so large that one doesn't just have a blind spot, rather you take your life in your hands pulling out of parking spaces - but that's just one of those lovable quirks that comes with driving around being a rock star...."

"I drove the R/T and the SRT. decided on the SRT because of the Horsepower difference and seats are more comfortable. I'am 62 years old and drove the 60's muscle cars like the GTO, Roadrunners etc but never felt this kind of a "Beast" 6.4 hemi before ever! I even drove the 426 Hemi back in the day but still doesn't compare to this Car. Too bad it is so expensive to own because a lot of people will never get to see a real Power House like my Hemi!"

"Love the car, driver seat is a pain in the butt after a few hours. Wish it had gauges away from rim of steering wheel , gas gauge is very hard to see when running low , but it is a monster at the gas pump as expected. who cares if im paying for more snow at the Arab winter wonderland mall in Saudi a Arabia"

"I've wanted one since they first came out. I'm 50 so I can relate to the erra and have the memories to go with it. They knocked the whole retro thing out of the ball park. I originally wanted it all (HEMI, Manual tranny, etc) Realistically the PENTASTAR 3.6 is all you need. It offers the reliability, power, gas savings that we all need to think about these days. Power's no problem! I'm not racing for pink slips here....lol I did get the sport upgrade w/the paddles also. Not bad.. I play with them now and then because they're there. LMAO Pretty Cool. Compliments all the time. Body style.... Do I have to say it?? Seriously!!! This car offers such a comfortable ride it's not even funny. She's a cruiser! I'd love to take a long trip to New York or Nevada..... The interior's nice. I'm happy with it. Some might expect more but I look at it differently and so did the designer... The interior will out last the others. I know it!!! Mark my words on this 10 -50 years from now!! Oh last and not least... The back seat. Not bad for kids or maybe a few adults if it happens that you find yourself toting a few. It'll be a little tight but it;s doable. Helps if the driver and front passenger can scoot up a little. I don't necessarilly plan on having anyone in the back and I knew this when I bought it. It works for me! The car handles very well so listen to the negative reports. I'm not getting paid and I'm not getting perks for putting this out... Drive one for yourself and you'll see. I've test drove the Camaro and Mustang. They handle nice and they're sporty but they're tight inside and definitely didn't get the reto thing right. Not even close!!! Seriously...Take one for a ride!! Fir the price you pay extra for another 70-75 hp... I didn't think I needed the HEMI Good bump in the #'s although I'd really like to own one. That's OK my 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4X4 has the HEMI... AWESOME POWER!!!!!"

"2012 Dodge Challenger SXT provides performance while giving you comfort. V6 Pentastar provides 305HP while giving you approximately 27 MPG on highway. This in my opinion is nicest of the muscle car class, compared to mustang or camaro."

"I have had two Challengers now in the past three years. I bought a 2011 shortly after they came out and got an amzaing deal on a new 2012 Challenger that the dealer needed to sell on New Year's Eve. As for the engine, I love my PENTASTAR 3.6 V6. I have used the 0-60 gauge and gotten to 60MPH in 5.88 Seconds and when I don't have my foot on the gas I can get up to 30MPG on the Highway without too much diffictuly at all. I traded for exactly the same car (different color and has the uConnect bluetooth stuff) and the mileage and joy to drive, is right there. I know that I haven't driven a Challenger since "Back in the day" but when today is "that" day, I will have driven it since then. (Say that fast five times!) In short, I love my Challenger, it is fast, beautiful, extremely good on fuel and oh so fast!"
