Interior Tour of the 2009 Ford F-150 'Platinum'
At
the 2006 Detroit
Auto Show Ford unveiled an outrageously large
and luxurious heavy duty concept, called the F-250
'Super Chief'. It took capability and bold design to new
heights in a pickup.
Most
notable about the Super Chief was its handsomely crafted, very
high-end interior. The only thing missing was a velvet rope.
Ford told us to stay tuned for news about "tough luxury"
appearing in future Ford trucks.
Fast
forward to 2008 and Ford is introducing the most luxurious trim
level ever for the F-150 - Platinum. It's the next grade up from
King Ranch and
it shows design influences from the Super Chief.
Here's
a quick video tour of the driver space in the new F-150 Platinum
Edition.
