An adventure
in the great outdoors with the GMC Sierra Crew Cab Short Box AT4 show
truck has pleasant surprises for outdoors enthusiasts.
GMC’s
all-new 2004 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab serves as the base of the Sierra AT4,
providing adventure seekers with two- or four-wheel-drive configurations
and a new 5-foot, 8-inch (1.7 meter) cargo box that permits easy handling,
parking and garage storage.
Building
on this solid production base, the Sierra AT4 offers several innovative
features that customize functionality and capabilities. It includes a
two-tier load floor with cargo box pullout to accommodate and protect
gear and versatile storage compartments that fit over the wheel wells
to maximize the cargo management capability of the pickup bed. The cargo
rail system developed by Let’s Go Aero, combined with tie-down cleats
developed by SportRack, allow versatile cargo management capabilities.
A gas cap key safe allows the driver to safely stow keys while he or she
experiences the outdoors and a cloth roll-back sunroof provides the Sierra
AT4 with a larger open-air experience.
“Sierra
Crew Cab offers the outdoors enthusiast the ability to haul gear and friends
to any outdoor adventure in style,” said Eric Snow, GMC product
development manager. “Surprising functionality and comfort make
this innovative concept instantly recognizable as a Professional Grade
GMC experience.”
Rugged styling
inside and out
Style and function take on added dimensions in the Sierra AT4 with innovative
Arc’Teryx all-weather material on the seating surfaces and interior
appointments and power retractable running boards for easy entry/exit
without compromising ground clearance while driving.
An enhanced
Bose premium audio system provides tunes for the road and at the campsite.
The custom-designed Bose sound system for the GMC Sierra AT4 echoes the
spirit of adventure, both inside and out. In addition to the 7-speaker
acoustically engineered interior system, the AT4 offers an additional
sound system that brings Bose-quality sound to outdoor environments. Modified
Bose 251 environmental exterior speakers that mount to the sides of the
vehicle’s cargo rail system are controlled by a patented Bose remote
key fob.
The Sierra
AT4 is outfitted with the right attire for any trip with a custom appearance
package that includes wheel flares, a unique grill application, front
fascia accent, rear fascia, body side hardware and Khaki Mist optically
enhanced paint.
Getting around:
From bustling city to remote glade
Whether it’s cruising down highways or cutting through overgrown
dirt roads, the Sierra AT4 has the power and suspension package to arrive
at the destination. A Vortec 5300 V-8 engine that produces 295 horsepower
and 330 lb.-ft. of torque powers the Sierra AT4. Off-road appointments
include four-wheel-drive, raised wheel-to-body height for greater ground
clearance, all-terrain suspension components and tow hooks.
