Camry,
Corolla and Accord Outsell F-Series in May, F-Series Still
Leads Year-To-Date As #1 Selling U.S. Vehicle

Cars from
Toyota and Honda outsold Ford's F-Series pickups in May, marking
the first time since October 1991 that a car has outsold the F-Series
in a month-long period.
According
to sales figures released by Ford, the company sold 42,973 F-Series
pickups, while figures released from Toyota reported sales of 51,291
Camry and 52,826 Corolla sedans. Honda announced it sold 43,728 Accord
sedans and 53,299 Civics.
Ford F-Series
still maintains its lead in overall year-to-date sales, at 235,924
units. Camry has sold 198,152 units, Corolla has sold 152,308 units,
Accord has sold 166,158 units and Civic has sold 164,994 units, from
January to May.
Other notable
sales changes in May:
- Honda
Ridgeline passed Nissan Titan for the number 10 sales position among pickups
in year-to-date sales, 17,152 to 15,925 units sold.
- Toyota Tacoma
passed GMC Sierra for the number 4 sales position among pickups in
year-to-date sales, 72,704 to 70,765 units sold.
