Corolla and Accord Outsell F-Series in May, F-Series Still
Leads Year-To-Date As #1 Selling U.S. Vehicle
Cars from Toyota and Honda outsold Ford's F-Series pickups in May, marking the first time since October 1991 that a car has outsold the F-Series in a month-long period.
According to sales figures released by Ford, the company sold 42,973 F-Series pickups, while figures released from Toyota reported sales of 51,291 Camry and 52,826 Corolla sedans. Honda announced it sold 43,728 Accord sedans and 53,299 Civics.
Ford F-Series still maintains its lead in overall year-to-date sales, at 235,924 units. Camry has sold 198,152 units, Corolla has sold 152,308 units, Accord has sold 166,158 units and Civic has sold 164,994 units, from January to May.
