The latest
news about Sterling's Bullet chassis cab was lost in SEMA shuffle last
week.
The class
4/5 fraternal twin to Chrysler's new Dodge Ram 4500/5500 trucks is
in full production and arriving at dealerships now. According
to Sterling's press release, below, the remainder of 2007 production
is already sold out.
Press Release:
REDFORD,
MI. - Sterling Truck Corporation today announced that the highly anticipated
Sterling Bullet™ - a new chassis-cab, Class 4/5 vehicle
introduced in March - has begun production. The trucks have already begun
arriving in dealerships.
"Interest in the Bullet has been high," said Matt Stevenson, director
of light commercial vehicles for Sterling Truck Corporation. "In fact,
we've filled our production on the Bullet for the rest of 2007. We're
excited for our customers to start putting them to work."
Ideal for demanding applications including construction, utility, residential
services, landscaping, municipal services, and pickup and delivery, the
Bullet comes with impressive standard features including a powerful Cummins
6.7L ISB engine with exhaust brake, a power take-off prep package, air
conditioning, and cruise control.
Plus, every Bullet comes with the support of the expansive Sterling dealer
network.
"Sterling dealers have the expertise to spec the right truck for any
job," said Stevenson. "Plus, Bullet customers will get the kind of service
they expect from a commercial vehicle dealer: service centers with longer
hours, and technicians trained to get trucks back to work fast."
Together with the Sterling 360, the Bullet makes Sterling the only commercial
vehicle manufacturer to offer a complete line of Class 3-8 vehicles.
