2004 Tundra Crew Cab to Debut in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Sources have informed PUTC that Toyota recently signed a very high dollar promotional deal to place the 2004 Tundra Crew Cab pickup in Warner Brothers Pictures' Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. The movie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is set to open nationwide July 3, 2003.

The prominent role the Tundra is expected to have in T3 continues a trend in automotive marketing. Manufacturers build buzz about their upcoming vehicles by placing them in big budget flicks hoping the success of the film will help launch their product.

Warner Brothers Pictures is doing a similar promotion with General Motors for the upcoming film The Matrix Reloaded, the sequel to The Matrix. In The Matrix Reloaded, opening May 15, 2003, Cadillac's EXT pickup is set to make a cameo.
