The Ford
F-150 Scuba SuperCrew Concept truck made waves today in Las
Vegas. Using the new four door variant of the popular F-Series,
the Scuba is specifically tailored to those seeking adventure
both above and below the water.
The Scuba
is a practical demonstration of Ford's commitment to creating
vehicles suited to every lifestyle. Buyers will be able to
create a truck that is literally one-of-a-kind and addresses
a person's needs in a 1:1 relationship between Ford and the
buyer..
The Scuba
features 17x18.5 inch TSW Tracker wheels shod with 33/12.5

Note the
yellow Scuba air cylinders in the back of the truck. They
are held in place by an aluminum "grid". The bed
of the truck is protected by a sprayed on liner.
Goodrich
tires that have maximum performance under wet surface conditions.
Integrated
running boards, with step pads made of marine grade rubber,
and an integrated grille mounted brush bar are designed to
deal with exposure to sea water.
The interior
is water resistant neoprene in the same black and yellow color
combination as the exterior.
The Scuba
is powered by Ford's F-150 Triton 4.6 liter V8 engine. It
has 220 horsepower and 290 ft-lbs. of torque.
