Terry Heinly's 1988 Chevrolet C/K 1500 4X4 - her name, derived from the pin-up art on the tailgate, is "Violet Vixen."

Terry bought this truck new, and it was his daily driver for about seven years before he began the restoration and customization effort. It has been driven 133,000 miles to date!

Modifications

  • Six inch suspension lift made by Explorer Procomp and 35 inch BF Goodrich tires on 15 inch American Racing Aluminum wheels
  • A TBI 350 with Jet Hot coated Edelbrock headers
  • A six inch K&N filter helps get the fuel mixture into the mill, and a Jet Hot coated Flowmaster dual exhaust system gets the spent gases out
  • Numerous billet accessories under the hood to add to the show appearance
  • Engine is backed up by a 5 speed manual transmission, stock GM transfer case, and 4:56 gears with a Detroit Locker differential
  • Interior is enhanced by aftermarket custom seats made by Flexsteel. A La Carra woodgrain steering wheel and Wabbit's Woodworks rosewood panels

Future Modifications

  • This winter's project is to replace the TBI with a Street & Performance polished tuned port injection system
